When I was very young, my parents took me to a village in Solo, Yogyakarta - Indonesia, where the heart of Batik production is located. I watched as artisans created the fabric from scratch, meticulously applying wax and dye to intricate patterns. Witnessing their skill and dedication left a lasting impression on me and deepened my appreciation for Batik's rich cultural heritage.

I fell in love with Batik from that moment and dreamed of wearing it on my wedding day. Although that didn’t happen because I got married in the United States, where traditional wedding dresses are the norm, I even bought the fabric in anticipation. Indonesia has an impressive array of Batik designs, each one incredibly detailed. Even though Batik has expanded to other countries, my curiosity and passion for it continue to grow.

I've discovered that each Batik design carries its own unique story. When I have the opportunity to start my own business, I'm excited to showcase Batik as my true love. I want to create unique pieces that empower women to feel confident and express their true selves. That’s how I feel every time I wear Batik—proud to be a woman from a country rich in art and heritage.
